Students of Social Work (1st and 3rd year) from our College participated in Berlin at the end of November in the framework of the trinational cooperation project between the ERASME training institution in Toulouse and the Evangelische Hochschule Berlin (EHB). In the academic year 2023/2024 we will reflect together on the global dimensions of Social Work. We will highlight this in all venues: In Berlin, the focus was on sustainability, climate change, climate crisis, ecosocial work. In Toulouse (March 2024), migration and human rights will be the main theme, and in Budapest, at the closing event in May 2024, we will address humanitarian disasters and war.

We visited some very exciting institutions during our week in Berlin. Our field visits allowed us to meet a school that is a sustainability – green actor or an organisation that provides training for a community of mentally disabled people to understand and apply environmental living. We have seen that in Germany they are very advanced in this field and have a well-established system, which we need to catch up there. We certainly ‘brought’ the principle of green/eco-social work back home with us.
