Scholarship for Young Christian People

General description 

                                               

Hungary provides high quality education in the heart of Europe. Today, there is a growing demand of international students to study in Hungary. Besides the quality of education and degrees recognised throughout Europe and beyond, students are attracted by the affordable living costs with an extremely favourable cost-to-value ratio, a safe and friendly living environment with convenient public transportation, the central location of the country in Europe and the unspoiled natural beauties combined with a 2000 year-old, rich Hungarian history and several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Hungary is also within the top countries with the highest number of scientific Nobel Prize Winners per capita, and a numerous scientific inventions from Vitamin C to Rubik’s cube and so on.

The core mission of the Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People is to provide the possibility of studying in Hungary for young Christian students living in the crisis regions of the world and/or being threatened in their country because of their faith. After completing their studies, the scholarship holders will return to help their home community with their gained knowledge, and they will participate in the reconstruction of war-destroyed countries and contribute to improvement of social situation and preservation of culture of Christian communities.

The Programme is managed by the State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and Hungary Helps Programme and organized by the Tempus Public Foundation

Environmental Science BSc

Program objectivesThe programme aims to train professionals who can overview understand and manage environmental problems, risks and hazards. Our students base their skills in Natural Sciences and develop their management skills in the fields of planning, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, related to environmental protection, rational environmental management, sustainable development, sustainable security, environmental conflict management.

Possibilities after completing the course

As an expert of environmental science, one will be able to conduct research for finding solutions to environmental problems. Graduated students can work for administrative authorities or research institutes dealing with the problems of nature and environment protection.

Stipendium Hungaricum

General description

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme aims to promote cultural understanding, economic and political relations between Hungary and other countries. The scholarships entitles students for full time studies in Hungarian higher education institutions that are part of the programme.

The scholarship covers the following items:

  • tuition fee
  • monthly personnel allowances
  • free dormitory or living allowances
  • participation in Wesley’s mentor programme for international students
  • free use of all Campus services
  • health insurance

Preparatory programme

Programme objectives

The preparatory programme is organized for international students who intend to participate in academic programmes in Hungarian language. The duration of the course is 2 semesters.  By completing the programme the students gain relevant skills to be able to start bachelor studies in any Hungarian institute of higher education.

 Environmental Science BSc

Program objectivesThe programme aims to train professionals with up-to-date skills, integrating science and social science results into their practical activities by creating an Environmental Specialist in Environmental Safety and Environmental Management. They contribute to the effective solution of practical, planning, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, control, research and educational tasks related to environmental protection, rational environmental management, sustainable development, sustainable security, environmental conflict management AND environmental problems.
