SOME FREELY ACCESSIBLE DATABASES AND ARCHIVES
BETH – open access resources on religion and theology in Europe and worldwide
COMPASS – search interface for electronic scientific content available in Hungary. You can search by journal title, book title, article title, doi number, and what resources are available in a given institution or town.
Directory of open access books – DOAB provides a searchable index to peer-reviewed monographs and edited collections published under an open access license with links to the full text of the publication on the publisher’s website or repository.
EUROSTAT – Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union, whose task is to provide high-quality statistics and data about Europe.
MDPI – Open Access Publisher’s database – you can browse Open Acces publications of a wide variety of disciplines: religious studies, social sciences, natural sciences, etc.
OAPEN – the library contains scientific books available for free (Open Access Books) mainly in the field of humanities and social sciences.

The Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library (Fővárosi Szabó Ervin Könyvtár – FSZEK for short) (hereinafter Library or FSZEK) is a public library; its services are available to anyone who accepts and observes its Terms of Use.

CEU Library (Budapest)
The CEU Library in Budapest, is pleased to grant external membership to students and faculty from other educational institutions with similar curricula as well as to other researchers not affiliated with CEU who require the use of the CEU Library Budapest collections for their scholarly research. Although registration is free of charge, we require that external members cover the cost of producing the membership card (3 EUR) which is payable ahead online. No refunds are possible. External members are entitled to use most of the services of the Library, with the exception of borrowing privileges, access to Interlibrary Loan services, booking labs, and using some databases whose licenses are restricted. Using laptops or public library PCs, external members can connect to most of the licensed databases from the Library.
Your request will be reviewed within 3 working days. By submitting the form you will prove that you have accepted the Library rules and agree to cover the cost of producing the membership card (3 EUR) which is needed to be paid ahead online.
