In May 2024, as part of our trinational cooperation with ERASME College Toulouse and Evangelische Hochschule Berlin, we organised the closing event of the year 2023/2024. The theme was Global dimension of Social Work in France, in Germany and in Hungary.
The Hungarian theme focused on humanitarian disasters and war.
András Léderer of the Helsinki Committee gave the keynote speech of the international week and we invited Rita Perintfalvi, lecturer at the University of Graz, to be the other speaker of the week, who spoke about the moral crisis in Hungary. One of the permanent programmes of the week is to present good practices in Hungary, to visit institutions, so we looked for places where they work with families and children who are refugees from Ukraine. Our social work students were mainly represented by the second year.
Their accompanying teachers were Judit Nemes, Balázs Szentesi and Tímea Bagdi.
The week was opened by Rector Gábor Iványi.
We have learned a lot from each other during the year, both in Berlin and Toulouse, and both in Budapest.
