Levente Hufnagel, lecturer at the Department of Environmental Security, head of the Multidisciplinary Ecotheological Research Institute and editor-in-chief of Opuscula Theologica et Scientifica, received his appointment as a university professor in a ceremonial setting on September 5, 2023.
Between 1991 and 1995, Levente began teaching as a university student at the ELTE FEB “Movement for Talent” university preparatory course. Between 1997-2003 at the Department of Zoology and Ecology of the TTK ELTE and between 2002-2021 at the present-day MATE Institute of Mathematics and Natural Science Foundations and its predecessor organizational units (SZIE MKK, BCE KTK) applied ecology (agricultural and environmental science) BSc and MSc courses, as well as PhD within the framework of the training, he taught most research methodology and quantitative ecology subjects, as well as tropical ecology and climate ecology as a special college. The teaching of research methodology subjects was based on self-developed curriculum (later published as printed notes and integrated into the e-learning system). The material of the climate ecology course is entirely the result of own development, which included the results of the scientific research work carried out in the “Adaptation to Climate Change” Research Group of the MTA TKI. The basis of his education in tropical ecology was provided by his work in the Zootaxonomy Research Group of the MTA TKI and the experiences gained in the tropical soil zoological expeditions of the MTA-MTV. From 2021, WJLF teaches ecology, environmental science, and ecotheology subjects in the Environmental BSc, Religious Education Teacher and Theology majors.
