During the semester, the Department of Environmental Security completed the
environmental biology laboratory, thanks to our teacher Dr. Zsolt Török, with the aim of carrying out (or participating in) practical activities related to environmental science subjects. Our Hungarian and foreign students started using the new lab which greatly facilitates their environmental safety studies.
Samples (of plant or animal origin) collected during field trips are regularly processed for basic biological laboratory work (sorting, classification and analysis) and these materials are used during hydrobiology and ecology exercises to study species in aquatic and terrestrial habitats and the relationships between them.
The medium-term goal of the environmental science laboratory is to make test series of experiments that yield data necessary for theses at various levels (BSc, MSc, PhD) available to college students.
