Memorial plaque inaugurate ceremony
The Hungarian Jewish Cultural Association cordially invites you to the inaugurate ceremony of a commemorative plaque of the former Jewish orphanage having been maintained by the International Red Cross.
The memorial plaque will be placed on the house wall of 16-18 October 6th Street. The inaugural ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 9 am.
The participants will be greeted by Mr. Peter Kirschner, President of MAZSIKE (Hungarian Jewish Cultural Association). It will be followed by the inaugural speech of Mr. András Heisler, President of MAZSIHISZ (Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities). Afterwards Vera Egervári will recount her reminiscences in the name of the survivors.
The commemoration of the plaque was contributed by the Hungarian Red Cross, the Local Government of the Belváros-Lipótváros and the MAZSIHISZ.
