The John Wesley Theological College was accredited in BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, European Union (since 2004) as a higher educational institution in 1991 right after the collapse of the Communist System. The College has been managed by the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship\u00a0<\/a> (HEF or MET: Magyarorsz\u00e1gi Evang\u00e9liumi Testv\u00e9rk\u00f6z\u00f6ss\u00e9g in Hungarian).\u00a0 It was named after John Wesley<\/a>,\u00a0 an English cleric, theologian\u00a0and\u00a0evangelist who was a leader of a\u00a0revival\u00a0movement within the\u00a0Church of England\u00a0known as\u00a0Methodism<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mission Statement<\/strong> of the Wesley does not expect or require alignment of faith from students or professors in any of its programmes or departments including the theological department. Our mission statement represents the original mission of John Wesley; \u201cDo all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can<\/em>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently Wesley provides a unique, friendly environment for students and professors who intend to\u00a0<\/span>participate in the daily reality of social work, pedagogy and environmental protection, close to the\u00a0<\/span>citizens and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n
